Debutantes to be presented during 2013 Cotillion Idlewild

The Cotillion Idlewild Club will present three young ladies during its 92nd Debutante Presentation and Ball at the Fairmont Hotel on Nov. 29. Themed “Unleashing Visions of Elegance, Charm and Grace,” the ball continues a time-honoured tradition of presenting young ladies of excellence to Dallas society.
“This year the club is presenting three talented and respected young ladies who truly reflect the highest standard of dignity and grace and high scholastic achievement,” stated Herman Edwards, president of the Cotillion Idlewild Club.
The debutantes to be presented are:
Brittney Morning, daughter of Michael Morning and Dr. Kira Butler. Brittney is a sophomore at Howard University in Washington, D.C., majoring in biology with a minor in Chemistry. Her escort is Nicholas G. Johnson, son of Gene Johnson and Veronica Johnson. He is a finance major at Hampton University in Hampton, Va. Brittney’s personal advisors are Lynda Edwards, chair of the Cotillion Idlewild Hostess Committee, Betty Anderson, Jessie Jordan and Toy Joyner, members of the Cotillion Idlewild Hostess Committee.
Adrienne Denice Anita Hill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cedric Hill. Adrienne is a junior at Texas Women’s University in Denton, majoring in music education with a teacher’s certification. Her escort is Nathan E. Jones IV, son of Mr. And Mrs. Nathan E. Jones III. Nathan is an economics and sociology major at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Ga. Adrienne’s personal advisors are Barbara Washington, co-chair of the Cotillion Idlewild Hostess Committee, Dr. Bonnie Barrett, Michalle Proctor and Gwendolyn Lawe, members of the Cotillion Idlewild Hostess Committee.
Amber Barbee-Pickens, daughter of Zurek Pickens Sr. and Winsor Barbee. Amber is a junior in the Fine Arts Dance Department of The Julliard School in New York City. Her escort is Cameron L. Rhodes, son of Val Rhodes and Alana Rhodes. He attends the University of North Texas in Denton, majoring in radio, television and film. Amber’s personal advisors are Barbara Caraway, co-chair of the Cotillion Idlewild Hostess Committee, Dr. Barbara P. Steele, Edna Booker and Dr. Lavern Holyfield, members of the Cotillion Idlewild Hostess Committee.
