Defensive End Anthony Spencer, was placed on the “Reserved/Injured” list yesterday. The NFL reported that Jones announced that Spencer would have microfracture surgery, a major procedure, on his injured left knee. This will put him on the sidelines for the season, but he is expected to make a 100 percent recovery around the beginning of the year.

According to the Cowboys, Spencer appeared in one game in 2013, recording two tackles and two pressures. For his career, Spencer has started 68-of-91 games for the Cowboys, posting 472 tackles, 32.5 sacks, 29 tackles for losses, 122 pressures, 16 pass breakups and 11 forced fumbles.
