March 4 will be the first of a series of Monday Night Politics – Meet the Candidates forums held by The Dallas Examiner and sponsored by numerous nonprofit organizations for the May 4 General Election.

The forum will provide an occasion to learn about the platform and viewpoints of the candidates for mayor of Dallas. There are 10 candidates, many of whom the community may not be familiar. All candidates have been invited to participate in the forum.

There are critical issues in the African American community. The series of forums is an opportunity for candidates to share their platforms with voters in the African American community and why they feel that they are the best qualified for the position.
