Golden Chick, known for its classic and chef-inspired chicken dishes, announced May 14 the reopening of its newly renovated restaurant at 410 W. Kiest Blvd. The restaurant closed five months ago to allow a complete renovation process. The transformation includes a redesigned interior reflecting the chain’s new models and a fresh stucco paprika colored exterior.
Franchisee Joseph Omobogie owns and operates 10 Golden Chick restaurants in the North Texas cities of Corsicana, Dallas, Desoto, Duncanville, Ennis, Garland, Mesquite and Midlothian.
“The West Kiest location was my very first Golden Chick restaurant to open as a franchisee. This location quickly became one of the best performing Golden Chick restaurants in the country,” Omobogie recalled, as he continued with excitement. “With the changes we’ve made, we can now make it our flagship restaurant. Our customers will get to experience a completely new building.”
The newly reopened restaurant will employ 40 team members from the local community. The 3,317-square foot restaurant will feature crispy chicken tenders, marinated fried chicken, roasted chicken and chicken salads.
“Joseph is one of our largest DFW franchisees and we are very proud of the work he is doing in the Dallas community,” said Mark Parmerlee, president and CEO of Golden Chick. “Not only is he continuing to provide quality service to his loyal customers, he is reinvesting in the community, as well as the Golden Chick name.”
Omobogie also has plans to close and completely renovate Golden Chick restaurants on Gus Thomasson in Mesquite and South Buckner in Dallas this year to further reinvest in the local economy.
By renovating their current locations, Golden Chick will be able to continue actively serving their local communities and customers. In addition to supporting local sports teams and academic programs, Golden Chick has held highly successful fundraisers to support the Assist The Officer Foundation and the American Red Cross.
