Special to The Dallas Examiner
Dallas Independent School District students are being asked to help plan the 2016-2017 school meal menu by participating in a survey.
Food and Child Nutrition Services provide approximately 125,000 lunch meals, 98,000 breakfast meals and 10,000 after-school meals daily at over 219 school sites.
The program is totally self-sufficient. It has its own warehouse operation that distributes 28,000 cases per week, a production kitchen that distributes 36,000 meals a week to satellite schools and technology services that manages over 800 computers.
To complete the survey, visit http://www.dallasisd.org/fcns through Nov. 20. The survey links, one for elementary students and another for high school students, are on the right side of the webpage. Both surveys are available in English and Spanish.
