On Wednesday, Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson announced the details of the 26th Annual Mayor’s Back to School Fair during a press conference at Dallas City Hall at 10 a.m. The event provides Dallas students and families with essential school supplies, valuable services and other resources free of charge. The Mayor’s Back to School Fair will be on Friday, Aug. 5 at Fair Park. Families must pre-register by July 29 in order to attend and receive supplies.

The Fair is a collaborative effort between the City of Dallas, and Dallas-area schools, state and county agencies, nonprofits, corporations and community volunteers. Together, their efforts aim to ensure every student will return to school equipped for a successful academic year.

The city has created a website, mayorsbacktoschoolfair.com, with a link to register and learn more details.
