DETROIT, Michigan – The Information Diva, Deborah Thorne, an award-winning, author, coach, trainer and speaker, will present her second annual The Leverage Conference. This virtual conference for speakers, authors and entrepreneurs will be held Dec. 3 through Dec. 5.

“Create it and they will buy is not a strategy for success. Networking plus collaboration equals opportunity, and that’s leverage,” Thorne emphasized. “The Leverage Conference will provide participants the opportunity for learning, networking, collaboration, and thereby creating new opportunities, and that’s leverage.”

It will begin with the Author Showcase, featuring a dozen authors and a first-time authors’ panel. This portion is free and open to the public.

Friday’s Day of Learning will provide diverse topics including social media strategy, search engine optimization, team building, leadership, and more. Featured speakers will include Zhe Scott, Mary Wu, Tracey Pirozzi, and Gina Gardiner. A thought leader’s roundtable will explore the timely topic of race and politics.

Concluding Friday’s activities is the Happy Hour and Merchant Showcase. The Merchant Showcase will support a teen entrepreneur and honor student, Naomi Jefferson-Glipa. This portion is free and open to the public.

Saturday’s Master Classes will begin with a networking breakfast, where real food will be served, even though this is a virtual event. It is a day of master presenters, each an expert in their field, who will provide tools and strategies that speakers, authors and entrepreneurs can use. Presenters include AnGele Cade, Casey Eberhardt, Margo Lovett, Donna Smith-Bellinger, Hudson Etienne, Jackie Lapin, Jim Packard, and George Campbell. Eva Vennari and Jerrilynn B. Thomas will be honored as Leverage Legends at a luncheon being held in their honor.

The day will conclude with a networking after-party where attendees will have the opportunity to meet and collaborate with one another.

The conference will help support the following charities: Demo Chicks; Global Society for Female Entrepreneurs; and The Care Project, Inc. Scholarships from VIP tickets are being provided to the youth of the Urban League of Los Angeles, Biz Camp.
