The Cotton Bowl Athletic Association is preparing for its 90th annual game featuring Ohio State and Miami, which will include various fan experiences and activities while generating significant economic impact for North Texas.

Kelvin Walker, the chair of the Cotton Bowl Athletic Association, shared insights about his organization’s evolution from promoting Dallas on a national scale to focusing on economic growth and shared prosperity through initiatives like workforce development and affordable housing. Walker discussed the organization’s role in addressing regional challenges through long-term projects and community investments.

“My favorite part is the… I’d say the hour or two leading up to the game. You see… you feel all the energy once you walk in the stadium,” he shared. “You see the Ohio… in this case, Ohio State fans on one side, the Miami fans on the other side, and then a lot of loyal season ticket holder Cotton Bowl fans. They’re people who, regardless of who’s playing, buy tickets to the game. I see a lot of the same families every year at the game because they see this as just a fun time and enjoyable time to come out to AT&T Stadium.”
