OurCalling Thanksgiving celebration

OurCalling, a faith-based nonprofit dedicated to serving unsheltered neighbors in Dallas County, will host a Thanksgiving celebration for more than 500 men and women experiencing homelessness. Supported by approximately 200 volunteers, the event will provide a warm, dignified holiday meal and an opportunity for fellowship, community and connection at a time when many feel isolated and forgotten.

“Everyone who walks through our doors is a person loved by God and in need of love. Thanksgiving is a time when we all long for family and the comforts of home,” said Pastor Wayne Walker, pastor and CEO of OurCalling.“Sharing a meal with our neighbors is one of the simplest and most powerful ways we can show that they are valued and give them hope that change is possible.”

Thanksgiving meals will be served Nov. 26 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1702 S. Cesar Chavez Blvd.

Dream Center Thanksgiving meals

Dream Center Dallas will be serving free Thanksgiving meals to individuals and families across Oak Cliff and South Dallas. The event will take place Nov. 26 at 1 p.m. at 1900 S. Ewing Ave.

This annual outreach is focused on meeting community needs, building connection, and creating a space of hope and gratitude for neighbors who may be facing food insecurity or simply seeking support this holiday season. Volunteers from across Dallas will be gathering to prepare meals, serve families, and create a warm and welcoming environment.
