Medical professionals and health equity advocates are concerned that a new bill targeting diversity, equity and inclusion efforts in federally funded medical schools could thwart efforts to teach medical students how to understand and communicate with different cultures, recruit students that reflect the racial makeup of the country, and dispel racial stereotypes and myths in health care.
