The Texas Comptroller’s office has frozen the Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) program, which was intended to help businesses owned by women, minorities and disabled veterans, and has now removed 97% of certified HUB businesses from the program, leaving many small businesses in confusion and uncertainty.
